June News
June is Pride Month

Turning Point Turning Point believes that all
relationships should be safe and
healthy.
Every year in June, we celebrate the global influence of the LGBTQIA+ community. Traditionally, various events are held, including parades, community events, educational sessions, street parties, poetry readings, and more. In addition to serving as a month long celebration, Pride is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise awareness of issues currently facing the community. Though Pride may look different this year, we join with the community in celebrating love. To find ways you can be involved in this year's Pride events, visit

To All Fathers...
Turning Point would like to wish all fathers a happy Fathers Day on Sunday, June 20th!

Thank you to all the men who have who have filled the role of dad in our lives. We appreciate you greatly!

Take some time this weekend to celebrate the fathers in your life!
Donor Spotlight
This month’s donor spotlight is shining on…
Richard Hawes Insurance
The new owners of Richard Hawes Insurance, Bri and Scott Weatherford learned about Turning Point and its mission when they were invited to join with QMIX as a sponsor for its 9th Annual Girly Golf to benefit Turning Point Domestic Violence Services.
Bri and Scott worked diligently to be granted special funding from their partner co-op, Erie Insurance to become the matching sponsor for the tees sponsors for the event.
The Weatherford’s presented Turning Point with a special $5,000 check from Richard Hawes Insurance on behalf of Erie insurance at Girly Golf 2021 on May 5th, making this a record-breaking year for the annual fundraiser!
We cannot thank Bri & Scott Weatherford enough for the contributions they are making to their newly adopted community. We look forward to partnering with our new friends at Richard Hawes Insurance for years to come!

It Starts With You, Thank you!
QMIX, You Are (Pop) Rock Stars!
Congratulations and thank you for a record-breaking Girly Golf 2021! Wow!
How Can You Get Involved?
DVAM Community Art Project:
We need your help!
Turning Point is excited to be partnering with the Columbus Area Arts Council for a community art project in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention Month (DVAM)! The project will consist of buttons made by community members, and it will be displayed in the 411 Gallery's Community Studio for the month of October.
The goal of this collaboration is to amplify the voices of survivors and to work toward preventing domestic violence through art. This project was inspired by the piece, 33, Three Four Two, that was created as a collaboration between The Julian Center and the Indianapolis Art Center.

We need your help reaching our button goal! If you are interested in creating a button design, please contact Stephanie at stephaniec@turningpointdv.org or 812-379-5575 ext. 203
