Our 24th Season, Coming to You, Wherever You Are...
It All
Begins This Week!
Let the music play!
The performers are arriving, rehearsals are starting, and opening night is this Friday, August 6th! Wherever you are, you can stream this year’s Festival, free, beginning with our Welcome Back! concert on Saturday, August 7, and concluding on Closing Night, Saturday, August 21.
We are thrilled to be working with the technical wizards at our venue, Orcas Center, to bring you a wonderful multi-camera streaming experience. Livestream Director and Lighting Designer Jake Perrine and Video Mix and Livestream Operator Erin Bennett, together with our Video Director Adam Stern and audio engineer Roger Sherman, will create a top-notch, intimate, and wonderful experience!
You can watch at no charge, thanks to sponsorship from the Robert Henigson Board Designated Fund. There are no limits to how many can join us on the livestream, so spread the word to friends and relations near and far – now is their chance to experience the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival! If you can’t watch while the concerts are being played live, the streams will still be available for viewing for 72 hours after the performance. Registration is required; you (and they) can sign up by scrolling down to the Livestream Concerts section here.
Thanks to Jake, Erin, Orcas Center Executive Director Dimitri Stankevich, and the whole team at Orcas Center for working with us to bring these livestreams to the world, in the best imaginable way!

Additional In-Person Tickets!
After careful consideration of the latest Covid-19 figures, seating configurations, and local, state, and federal regulations, we are thrilled to announce that we were able to release a limited number of additional seats for all concerts of the 24th Festival Season of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, August 6th – 21st! To check current availability, visit www.oicmf.org/tickets.
While we understand some folks may be more comfortable viewing from home, we know those who attend in person will greatly appreciate the new paint and other improvements at Orcas Center, our venue on Orcas Island. Our Lopez Island concert this year will be in the lovely Grace Episcopal Church.
A few important details:
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, we request you do NOT attend in person.
Advance ticket sales ONLY – the box office will NOT be open before concerts.
Facial Coverings
· All patrons must wear a mask in Orcas Center and Grace Episcopal Church at all times.
· Musicians are fully vaccinated and will be unmasked, without social distancing from each other, but with at least 10 feet separating them from the audience. All musicians will be Covid-19 tested upon arrival on Orcas Island.
Social Distancing
· There will be unoccupied seats between parties.
· Audience members may not go down to the stage area to greet the musicians before or after performances. Musicians will meet and greet patrons on the lawn by the whale in front of Orcas Center following the concert.
We understand that you may have gotten accustomed to fewer restrictions under current state and local guidelines. We ask for your patience given these somewhat stricter rules. The joy of hearing live music again will hopefully go a long way toward ameliorating any inconvenience!
