Temperatures will be warmer this week. For all those heading out to the club to mountain bike, disc golf, bird watch, hike or participate in our Summer Bike Camps, make sure you bring water, wear sunscreen and stay cool!



Birdwatching for Seniors Program

Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and Tourism Prince George are thrilled to announce a collaborative opportunity for a dynamic and highly organized individual to join our teams. This unique position offers a diverse and rewarding work environment, splitting duties between managing office operations at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club during the winter season (October-April) and representing Tourism PG during the summer season (May-September).

License of Occupation Update

We regret to inform you that the License of Occupation application submitted to the Province of BC by the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club has been turned down. While this is disappointing news, we received valuable feedback from the review process and were encouraged to reapply in the future.

It is important to clarify that during the application review, the Lheidli T’enneh letter of support was withdrawn in early January. Unfortunately, this information was not adequately communicated, leading to some misinformation being presented to our membership and the community. The Board deeply regrets that accurate information was not made available in a timely manner.

We will take this experience and the feedback received into careful consideration as we decide on our next steps regarding the License of Occupation application. The Board is committed to transparency and will continue to provide updates throughout this process.

Looking to Update our Office Equipment!!

As our team continues to work hard and support our community, we’ve noticed that some of our office supplies, specifically our office chairs and computers, are getting a bit older and could use an upgrade (see current image above).

We are reaching out to you, our valued members, for assistance. If you have any previously used but still very functional office chairs or laptops that you no longer need, we would greatly appreciate your donation. Your contributions will help us create a more comfortable and efficient workspace, allowing us to better serve you and our community.
