Worship with us every Sunday at 10 am.

All are welcome.

Dear CPC Family,

Hallows’ Eve is upon us -- which means that, for the church, All Saints’ Day is just around the corner! But what exactly is All Saints’ Day, and do Presbyterians even believe in saints?

In fact, we do! We believe that all who are called into God’s family of faith are saints -- not because we are perfect, but because we belong to God and are called to share God’s grace with the world. You and I, along with the faithful who have gone before us, are part of what we call the communion of saints -- a community that spans generations and will one day worship God together in heaven.

This Sunday, we’ll have an opportunity to remember and give thanks for the saints in our own lives, both living and dead. How have their lives and legacies shaped our journeys of faith, even through their imperfections? And how might God be calling each of us to become a saint in someone else’s life -- to offer encouragement, extend grace, and reflect Christ’s love in ordinary, everyday ways?

I expect this to be a meaningful and moving service, filled with gratitude, remembrance, and hope. I hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the saints who have shaped us and consider how we, too, might be a blessing to others.

Grace and peace,

Betsey

From the Lord's Table to Loving Service:

Communion and Coins This Sunday!

Sunday, November 1 is a Communion Sunday at CPC. All are welcome at the Lord's Table. Also, remember to bring your loose change collected over the past month; the "least coin" offering benefitting the caring ministries of the deacons will be collected during the offering.

This year, our stewardship sermon series invites us to reflect on what the concept of being BLESSED meant for God's people in the Old Testament and in the early church. As we discover how God’s blessings are meant to flow through us rather than stop with us, we’ll consider how our giving can make a difference today and for generations to come. The series will culminate as we bring forward our Faith Promise pledges for 2027 on November 22.

November 8: "Blessed" Genesis 12:1-3, Matthew 14:13-21

November 15: "A Life that Leaves a Legacy" 1 Timothy 6:18-19 -- Rev. Heidi Bolt of the Presbyterian Foundation, Guest Preacher

November 22: “Blessing Is Meant to Flow” 2 Corinthians 9:6–12; Luke 12:22–34

November is Stewardship Month

You've got mail! If you are a member or regular at CPC, there is a letter addressed to you awaiting pickup in the church narthex. Read a message from our Stewardship elder Nelson Gourley and be thinking and praying about next year's Faith Promise to CPC, which, when joined with others' gifts, will bless our community and world!

Help Welcome Our Neighbors

on Election Day

CPC is an official polling site! If you would like to welcome the hundreds of neighborhood people who will be coming into our church on election day, November 3, please talk to Nelson Gourley. Donations of homemade cookies are also welcome. We like to give all our neighbors a taste of the welcome and hospitality our church is known for!

Family Promise at CPC November 15-18

CPC will host Family Promse Sunday through Wednesday, November 15-18. Look for the white board to sign up the next two Sundays. We need volunteers to set up the rooms, make beds, and load up the trailer on the 22nd. Thanks in advance for signing up to volunteer.

The Unity Church will cover dinners and overnight hosting Thursday through Sunday (November 19-21).

Legacy Giving

Can Make a Difference

for Good

On Sunday, November 15, the Rev. Heidi Bolt from the Presbyterian Foundation will be guest preaching at CPC. She will also lead a workshop after church for those curious about estate planning with purpose. All are invited to come explore  the powerful ways our values can inform our estate plans and about the many ways we can respond to God’s generosity both now and into the future.

Dear Friends of 3rd Avenue Marketplace,

The countdown is on! We are delighted to invite you to join us for Give Hunger the Bird 2026, our signature fundraising event, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at StanCraft Jet Center in Hayden, Idaho!

With just four weeks to go, we’re looking forward to an unforgettable evening bringing our community together for a meaningful cause. This special event supports the programs of 3rd Avenue Marketplace Food Bank & Senior Café, helping us fight food insecurity throughout Kootenai County while providing our neighbors with food, connection, and support with dignity.

Your invitation is here—and there’s still time to be part of the excitement!

Whether you’ve supported us for years or are just getting to know our organization, we would love to have you join us. There are several ways to make an impact:

  • Attend the event: Purchase your tickets and enjoy an evening of community, generosity, and purpose.
  • Become a sponsor: Showcase your commitment to our community while helping sustain essential food bank and senior programs.
  • Donate an auction item: Contribute a gift, experience, or service to help make our fundraising efforts a success.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now! Visit https://3rdavenuemarketplace.org/events/ for event details, ticket purchases, and sponsorship information.

Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and auction donation made helps us continue meeting the growing needs of our neighbors. Your generosity makes a tangible difference, and we are grateful to have a community that believes in ensuring everyone has access to the food and support they need.

We hope you’ll join us on November 7 for an evening of connection, generosity, and community spirit. Together, we can make a meaningful difference one meal, one family, and one neighbor at a time.

Thank you for being part of the 3rd Avenue Marketplace family. We look forward to seeing you there!

With heartfelt gratitude,

The 3rd Avenue Marketplace Team
