Thanksgiving Dinner & Supervisors Night
The giving and holiday season began with students from CBA delivering over 25 turkeys for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, in addition to donating grocery gift cards to provide to our families in need. A Thanksgiving feast was prepared by our dining staff and served by staff, board members and volunteers. After the meal, students enjoyed the annual Supervisor Night filled with casino games and prizes. Great way to kick off the season!

Helping Syria Kids Through Pen Pal Program
LaSalle students are volunteering their time for Help Syria’s Kids pen pal program. This program helps connect students across the world with Syrian refugee children to share education and hope, through letters and the development of friendships. Students are encouraged to write letters, send inspirational quotes, and draw pictures of their favorite activities. The first set of letters will be in the mail this month, and the program will continue through the school year.

Motivational Speakers Come to LaSalle to Encourage Success
|
|
Tay Fisher, a 2004 graduate of Kingston High School, has springboarded his dedication, perseverance, and talent into a fantastic career as an internationally known player. The future wasn't always so bright for Tay. He had to face many difficult obstacles on and off the court that led him on this unthinkable journey.
Tay spent a December morning speaking with our students and staff about his journey and the importance of success in setting short and long term goals, thinking about positive future plans, establishing long lasting friendships, and being respectful to your teachers who are here to guide you.
Tay played for the Siena Saints and Harlem Globetrotters.

Former NFL Player, Lee Rouson, who is currently a motivational speaker for Sports World Ministries, spoke to our students in January about reaching their goals through discipline and hard work.
“Who are you?” he asked the students, he stated “You are the only ones who can make the decision about who you are."
Throughout his life, Lee said he made some good life choices and some bad ones. He explained that the times he made good, positive choices, his heart was in the right place, but he always did it for the wrong reasons. He also made bad choices based on fear and selfishness and suffered the consequences of that. Most important message Lee told the students, “You’re going to get through it.”
Lee played for the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.

Basketball Court Transformation
With the generous support of Mary Beth Hanner, who sadly passed away in 2022, and her family, this past summer construction of the new basketball court began. Mary Beth was a leader and mentor in the fields of nursing and education and was long committed to LaSalle School and its mission.
LaSalle School would like to deeply thank the Hanner family for their continued support of LaSalle and those that we serve.
