Georgia AIM Gears Up for Impact


Georgia AI Manufacturing (Georgia AIM) recently convened program partners to foster internal collaboration among projects, amplifying the coalition's impact on manufacturers, community members and the talent pipeline. Clarence Anthony, Jr., Workforce Development Manager, spoke at this event, highlighting exciting updates on workforce development at the Partnership.

TEDxAtlanta Salon Sparks Innovation


The TEDxAtlanta May salon fostered a collaborative environment for exploring sustainable community development solutions. The event brought together local attendees and subject matter experts, including Debra Lam and representatives from the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). This exchange of ideas aimed to energize participants and equip them to play a more active role in building equitable communities.

Thomasville Community Loan Fund Launches


Spark Thomasville and the Thomasville Community Development Corporation have partnered to provide an initial $100,000 loan fund to support underrepresented entrepreneurs, officially launching InvestTVL, Thomasville's first community development loan fund. Congratulations to the Thomasville teammates of the Partnership's Leaders Program and to the Thomasville community for this major achievement.

Coastal Georgia Opens New Safe Water Community Lab


Safe Water Together for Brunswick, a project funded by the Partnership's Community Research Grants program, just opened a new lab in Glynn County, Georgia. Operated by the Institute for Water and Health, this lab will provide additional opportunities to observe and address critical water pollution challenges, improving public health outcomes for those residing in the surrounding area.

GTA AI Position Opening


The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) seeks a visionary Unit Director to lead its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Program. This role oversees AI initiatives across state government, ensuring ethical and responsible deployment by developing comprehensive AI strategies, crafting policies for ethical use and collaborating with stakeholders to foster responsible AI adoption.

Georgia Southern University now offers an immersive course that equips coastal communities with the knowledge and tools to integrate adaptation into their planning processes. Through engaging activities with local experts, discussions and case studies, participants gain practical skills to address coastal climate-related challenges.
