Everybody seems to have a story about a moment in their life at the Pioneer. It’s never just, ‘I saw a show there.’ Instead, it’s something like, ‘I saw a show there with my mom, and that’s a memory I’ll hold onto forever.’

For nearly 60 years, the Pioneer Center has served as the cultural anchor of downtown Reno, its iconic gold anodized geodesic dome standing as one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It has played host to performances ranging from school concerts to Broadway productions, children’s ballets to Baryshnikov. There is something incredibly powerful about live theater. There is no other experience quite like it that brings together strangers in a shared space to go on a journey together.
