John Knox is so excited about the wonderful opportunities we have to continue to support our partners at Lake Forest Elementary. Blair Cochran is doing an amazing job providing access to our basement for overflow storage.

However, there are still some “holes” in Lake Forest’s provisions and they need our help. Listed below are some of their needs:

Canned protein including chili types

Breakfast foods with shelf life

Peanut butter/Jelly

Canned vegetables

As you know, Lake Forest sends 25-50 backpacks home each week so children will have food on the weekends. JK has always responded with incredible generosity!

Please place your contributions in the large, white box in the outer narthex. We will continue this drive through October.

John Knox Fall Fest

Please join us on Wednesday, October 28, for a night of fun and fellowship at our annual Fall Fest! Plan to join us for dinner, games and prizes, cotton candy, a cake walk, a costume contest, and a bouncy house! We can’t wait to see you!

· 5:30 - 6:30 - Hot Dog Dinner in the Fellowship Hall

· 6:00 - 7:00 – Games in the Gym

· 6:50 - Costume Contest for all ages (in the gym)

· 7:00 - 7:30 - Trunk or Treat in the lower parking lot

Everyone is invited to come dressed in your best costumes. We also invite you to dress up your car for Trunk or Treat and hand out candy to the children. (Please park in the lower parking lot by 5:15 if your car will be part of Trunk or Treat.) Don't forget your candy buckets to collect all your goodies!

How Can You Help?

To help make this awesome event happen, we are asking for donations of candy and small prizes as well as sweet goodies for the cake walk (homemade or store bought). You can bring candy and prizes by Carter Rief’s office anytime between now and October 28. Goodies for the cake walk can be dropped off in Susan Felton’s office by October 28 as well.
