SFVCMHC Hosts LA vs Hate Press Conference to Promote Community Safety and Inclusion

San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center, Inc. (SFVCMHC) hosted a press conference at its Sherman Circle location on October 19 in partnership with LA vs Hate to launch their Text-to-Report initiative during United Against Hate Week. This occurred under the backdrop of SFVCMHC’s mural, a visible reminder of the power of empathy, inclusion and connection. This mural was created through a partnership with LA vs Hate.

“Hate and discrimination can have a profound impact on individuals, families, and our community,” said SFVCMHC’s CEO Tim Ryder. “We are proud to partner with LA vs Hate and host this important event at our Center. It’s essential that people know they are not alone and support is available.”

The event highlighted the importance of standing together against hate and discrimination and ensuring community members know how to report incidents and access support.
