April was a month of momentum. It is so exciting to see everything coming together for our First Annual All-Abilities Camp! The community support has been unreal, truly an answer to prayer.
Tori A and I were able to visit more huddles this month, and I cannot thank our huddle leaders enough! They have invested so much time and energy into the souls of athletes and students in the Area. We have seen so much growth, this generation is hungry!
Personally, I was able to attend a Men's Retreat with the men of my local church, MissionView. A guy from Washington, DC in the woods, survived! It was an incredible time to connect with other brothers in Christ and retreat for a few days! It was much needed.
Our family is enjoying flag football season. Coaching 6-8 year olds is truly a gift. Let's just pray for warmer weather on game days!

Alliance High School Huddle
|
Alliance huddle meets about twice a month, and is very service and socially minded.
The huddle leader at Alliance is Carrie Chunat, these were some of her highlights from this school year...
"My students enjoy hosting social events for the school as ways to hang out together without involving drugs or alcohol. In the fall we host a "Pumpkin Palooza" with a pumpkin decorating/carving contest, in the Winter we host a "Gingerbread house contest" and decorate cookies for local Firemen, and in this May we're hosting a "Cinco de Mayo" Fiesta Celebration. During the summer months we also enjoy a Girls only bible study. We covet prayers as we also begin planning for our second mission trip to San Luis, Mexico to be held in the Summer of 2025. Last summer, we sent 14 students and staff to Mexico to deliver hygiene kits to the homeless living in the town dump."
Please join us as we pray for the students and leaders at Alliance High School during their trip to Mexico this summer.
Thank you Carrie for you dedication to the heart and souls of the students at Alliance!

Over 100 students from Mount, Ashland, and Malone gathered in the chapel for MU’s One Voice event hosted by FCA last week. The theme was “Fueled by the Fire,” and the night was full of student-led worship and prayer as we heard testimonies from two students and a message from Nobles, Cleveland Metro Area Director and Chaplain for the Cleveland Browns.
Nobles talked about the two different types of fire that we experience: the fire that reveals (our character, our allegiance, our true heart, our faith) and the fire that refines (refining us and our relationships with others). A major point Nobles made was how refinement comes only when we surrender fully. He gave an invitation for students who do not yet know Christ to begin a relationship with Him, and then he challenged us all to surrender what we’ve been holding onto so that God’s Will may be done in our lives. Nearly everyone in the room crowded the altar with our arms around each other as we prayed to surrender fully to the Lord.
And at the end, we flooded the front of the chapel again as we danced and praised God in worship. It was truly an incredible night!

Update from Our Perspective Area Rep Tori Atkinson
|
"As I’ve been raising support to enter the ministry full-time, I often appreciate and pocket the advice I receive from “active-duty ministers” and “ministry veterans.” Most commonly, I am warned of the intensified spiritual warfare during this season. So, it came as no surprise to me when I began to feel pulled down by the enemy's lies. Still, though I knew they were lies from the start, I could not shake his words out of my mind. “This ministry’s impact isn’t big enough.” “Why waste all this time and effort on this instead of ministering to the lost, starving souls in a third-world country?” “How can you ask people to invest their money in this ministry when you yourself are questioning these things?” I didn’t truly believe any of these lies, yet they were beginning to haunt me between support appointments.
Then, at just the right time, God moved to remind me of His purpose for this ministry, His power to mobilize His people, and His provision. He organized divine appointments, supplied prayer warriors, rewrote budgets, and completely exceeded my expectations! After three weeks of raising support, I had reached 30% of my goal and was rejoicing in the faithfulness and generosity of my partners. By the fourth week, I was over 60% funded and speechless! I am now nearly 70% funded in my fifth week and I give thanks to God, who has shown me time and time again the importance of this work that He is doing through us. I am so eager to see how God continues to move and prepare the way before me as I prepare the way for Him, and I often meditate on the promise that “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8). And our God has certainly shown us that this is a good work!"
