안녕하십니까? 학부모님들의 성원으로 개강 첫날을 활기차게 잘 보냈습니다. 학생과 교사들이 즐거운 학기를 시작했습니다. 자녀의 학업 관련하여 상담을 원하실 경우 info@kssnj.net으로 미리 연락 주시고 171호 교장실로 오시면 미팅을 하실 수 있습니다.

자녀들을 매주 토요일 9시 30분까지 5 Carnegie Plaza, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003에 위치한 남부뉴저지통합한국학교로 등교시켜 주시기 바랍니다. 유치부는 색연필, 물, 간식(스넥)을 챙겨 주시고, 1학년 이상 학생들의 준비물은 학용품입니다. 간식 시간은 없습니다. 학생들 하차는 학교 정문에서 해 주시기 바랍니다. 사고 방지를 위해 유치부 쪽 대문은 사용하지 않습니다.

Dear Parents,

Greetings! Thanks to the support of our parents, we had an energetic and successful first day of the semester. Both students and teachers have started the new term with joy and enthusiasm. If you would like to schedule a meeting regarding your child's academic progress, please contact us in advance at info@kssnj.net. You can then meet in the principal's office, Room 171.

Please drop off your children by 9:30 AM at the KSSNJ, located at 5 Carnegie Plaza, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Only PK and K students should bring snacks, color pencils, water bottle, as there will be no snack time for students in first grade and above. They need only pencils and erasors. Please drop off students at the main entrance of the school. To prevent accidents, the preschool entrance gate will not be used.

• The textbook for Pre-K and Kindergarten is $26. Please make a Venmo payment to (@KS-SNJ) by this week, 9/13, and show proof of payment to the homeroom teacher. Be sure to include the student's name.
• Modeumbuk (Korean drum) drum sticks are $20. Please make a Venmo payment to (@KS-SNJ). Be sure to include the student's name when making the Venmo payment.
• Art Class: Since there are many items in the classroom, we kindly ask that you drop the students off at the classroom door rather than bringing them inside.

본교 재학생들은 학교 관련 자원봉사를 할 때마다 아래의 봉사시간입력신청서를 작성해 주시기 바랍니다. 2025년 6월부터 2026년 5월까지의 자원봉사 시간을 합산하여 재미한국학교협의회 차세대 리더상을 비롯하여 대통령자원봉사상 인증기관으로서 자원봉사 시간 확인서를 발급해 드립니다. 본교 재학생이 학교 외 기관에서 봉사한 경우는 해당 기관의 확인서(조직의 공식 레터지에 담당자의 이름과 연락처가 반드시 있어야 함)를 첨부하여 제출하면 본교에서 합산하여 기록합니다.

All current students are requested to complete the Volunteer Hour Submission Form below each time they participate in school-related volunteer activities. Volunteer hours accumulated from June 2025 to May 2026 will be totaled and used to issue certificates for awards such as the NAKS Junior Leadership Award and other recognitions as an authorized certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Award.

If a student volunteers at an organization outside of school, a verification letter from that organization must be attached (the letter must be on official letterhead and include the name and contact information of the person in charge). These hours will then be recorded and included in the student’s total volunteer hours.

재외동포청에서 후원하는 본교 학생포럼 참가자를 모집합니다. 올해의 주제는 "변화 속에서 찾아가는 한인의 정체성"입니다. 대상은 8학년부터 12학년이며 기간은 9월 20일부터 11월 15일까지 12:30~1:30에 준비하고 (10/18만 2:30까지) 11월 22일에 벌링턴 카운티 도서관 강당에서 발표합니다. 포럼 참여시간은 모두 봉사 시간으로 인정합니다. Stockton University의 신동조 교수님이 지도합니다. 아래 신청서를 9월 17일까지 작성해 주시기 바랍니다.

We are now accepting applications for students to participate in the Student Forum sponsored by the Overseas Koreans Office. This year’s theme is “The Historical Development and Identity Formationn nof Korea: From Prehistory to the Present” The forum is open to students in grades 8 through 12. Preparation sessions will be held from September 20 to November 15, 12:30–1:30 PM (only on October 18 the session will run until 2:30 PM). The forum presentations will take place on November 22 at the Burlington County Library Auditorium. All hours spent participating in the forum will be counted as volunteer hours. The forum will be mentored by Professor Dongjo Shin from Stockton University. Please complete the application form below by September 17.

인공지능(AI), 사물인터넷(IoT), 로봇공학, 빅데이터, 센서 기술이 함께 작동하는 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 플랫폼, 드론을 이제 한국학교에서 직접 배워볼 수 있는 기회가 열립니다. 지난 학기 본교 업무협약식을 맺은 인천 동구 청본창작소의 후원으로 오전 8:15~9:15에 10회 간 수업 합니다. 한국어 이해 가능한 5학년 이상의 학생 대상으로 선착순 10명 모집합니다. 많은 성원 바랍니다.

A unique opportunity has opened up at the Korean School to learn drones, a core platform of the 4th Industrial Revolution where Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, big data, and sensor technologies work together. Thanks to the support of Cheongbon Creative Studio in Dong-gu, Incheon, with which our school signed a partnership last semester, classes will be held 10 times from 8:15 to 9:15 AM.

The program is open to students in 5th grade or above who understand Korean, and enrollment is limited to the first 10 applicants. We look forward to your enthusiastic participation!
