Each day the Guardians play this week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) will be Cleveland Guardians Day at IMS. Wear your favorite Guardians gear or Red, White, and Blue.

Lost and Found

Do any of these items look familiar to you? If so, please check with your child to make sure they have all their items. The lost and found items are located by our recess doors.

Drama Club

Rehearsals for the IMS musical Haphazardly Ever After are under way! The 70 cast members, Mrs. Obrovac and Miss Rebecca have been working on music for the past month and are now taking to the stage! Thank you to the team of parent volunteers for already helping with many tasks to get this show ready!

Save the dates of November 22 and 23, 2024, to see Haphazardly Ever After!

HS Volleyball

Independence will be hosting OHSAA Tournament Volleyball matches starting on Saturday October 19th. For all OHSAA tournament events held at Independence High School, all spectators will need to purchase a ticket as we can not accept our Independence Passes for these events. Please note there is also no senior discount available for these events. Thank you for your understanding as we are excited that our Blue Devil Athletes will be able to play tournament games here at Independence.

Tickets for OHSAA tournament games will be available for purchase online at: https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets and there will also be cash sales available at the door.

I will also send this out via FinalForms early next week. Thanks!!!

Any 6th, 7th or 8th-grade students are welcome to join the IMS Pep Club. As a club, we support both athletic and academic endeavors. Further, we do a bit of fundraising during the Christmas season to raise funds for St. Augustine and their hunger center. Meetings will be held during the 6° lunch/recess on Mondays, either weekly or biweekly, depending upon need.
