Demonstration of HEALTHeWNY Dashboard to

WNY Delegation

Since launching the HEALTHeWNY Dashboard earlier this year, we continue to meet with various organizations and community members to share details about this first of its kind tool to improve interventions for public and community health. Last month, we hosted several of our state elected officials and their staff members at our office for a live demonstration.

Please note, that according to the HEALTHeLINK Participation Agreement, it is required to notify HEALTHeLINK of any breaches in accordance with the established Policies and Procedures. Prompt notification is crucial as it enables HEALTHeLINK to take swift and appropriate actions to mitigate any further impact and protect sensitive information. Population Health Updates

Local Health Department Reports:

HEALTHeLINK, supported by NYeC funding, provides local health departments (LHDs) with detailed reports on health indicators like pre-diabetes, asthma, and STIs. These reports offer zip code-level data, allowing for a detailed understanding of community health trends. Users can break down this data by demographics such as age, gender, and race to identify disparities and tailor interventions. This helps LHDs focus resources on improving community health outcomes. In phase two, we will collaborate directly with LHDs to understand their specific data needs and provide tailored support, enhancing our ability to deliver data-driven solutions for each community’s unique challenges.

Maternal Health Workgroup:

HEALTHeLINK leads a maternal health workgroup in Western New York, bringing together stakeholders to improve maternal health outcomes. HEALTHeLINK also supports local health departments by sending real-time alerts for birth events, ensuring timely postnatal care. This proactive approach helps new parents, and their babies receive necessary support, such as breastfeeding guidance, newborn care advice, and emotional support during the postpartum period. The collaboration with hospitals and local health departments aims to bridge gaps in care, promoting the well-being of both parents and newborns.
