Dear Friend,

MetroHealth and The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland are united in our shared commitment to the health, safety and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.

Together, we’ve helped expand access to affirming and equitable care, ensuring community members receive the services they need in environments they trust.

As part of MetroHealth’s broader strategy to strengthen its Pride Network, MetroHealth will transition away from providing part-time, on-site clinical services at LGBT Center Cleveland. This allows MetroHealth to expand services across its Pride Network, which includes a new Pride Clinic at the West Park Health Center in addition to the existing clinics in Brooklyn, Brecksville and Cleveland Heights.

Any change in service delivery can raise questions and concerns, especially for those who rely on trusted, community-based spaces for their care. To support continuity of care, MetroHealth will introduce a dedicated Access Advocate at The Center to help community members schedule appointments, navigate services and connect with MetroHealth’s affirming providers.

Beginning in 2026, MetroHealth will also partner with The Center to offer mobile medical and dental services at The Center’s Gordon Square and East Side locations and collaborate on community health fairs and outreach events. These services will help LGBTQ+ individuals access affirming care close to where they live, work and gather.

We recognize the importance of accessible care delivered in settings where LGBTQ+ individuals feel safe, supported and welcomed.

The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland will continue to prioritize reducing barriers to care by serving as a hub for resources, education, connection and support. MetroHealth, which launched the region’s first Pride Clinic nearly 20 years ago, remains committed to compassionate, inclusive care for every member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is MetroHealth reducing its Pride services?

No, MetroHealth is expanding its Pride Network. We recently added services at our West Park Health Center and will partner with the Center to provide mobile medical and dental care. MetroHealth

launched the region’s first Pride Clinic nearly 20 years ago and remains committed to compassionate, inclusive care for every member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Why was this change made?

This change allows us to strengthen and grow Pride services. In addition to the new services at our West Park Health Center, we will still serve patients at our Brooklyn, Brecksville and Cleveland Heights

locations. The primary care team at Gordon Square will transition to the MetroHealth Brooklyn Health Center – an already-established Pride Network site. The Brooklyn location offers several other services, including behavioral health and an on-site pharmacy.

Can I still see my same provider?

Yes! The primary care team who served patients at Gordon Square will see patients at MetroHealth’s Brooklyn Health Center, an established hub for Pride care. The caregivers at Brooklyn are welcoming and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. MetroHealth is deeply committed to providing safe, affirming and accessible care.

How can I get to the Brooklyn Health Center?

The site is located on an RTA bus route. There is also ample free parking that can be accessed from Fulton Road. MetroHealth can also arrange rides for eligible patients through Lyft. To schedule a ride or

ask about eligibility, please call 216-778-5258 (M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

Can someone at LGBT Center Cleveland help me get an appointment?

Yes! Starting February 23, MetroHealth will have a dedicated Access Advocate at the Center to help community members schedule appointments, navigate services and connect with MetroHealth’s affirming providers. You can also call our Pride team at 216-957-4905
