As’salaamu Alaikum / Peace be upon you
The last ten nights (Ashara) of Ramadan are upon us. We will start our Qiyam-ul-Lail program on 21st night of Ramadan on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that when the last ten nights began Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kept awake at night (for prayer and devotion), wakened his family, and prepared himself to observe prayer (with more vigor). (Reference: Sahih Muslim 1174, Book 14, Hadith 8).
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan." (Reference: Sahih Bukhari 2017, Book 32, Hadith 4).
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e., belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Reference Sahih Bukhari 2014, Book 32, Hadith 1).
The last ten days and nights should be observed with great spirit and enthusiasm. We are very fortunate to receive and welcome the holy month of Ramadan this year, and we should collect all the riches and rewards that come with it.
