Dear Friends,
We all try to be as healthy as possible, so when we hear some of the testimonials about the "miracles" of stem cell therapies--from anti-aging to cures of serious diseases--we perk up! It sound almost too good to be true!
Because many stem cell treatments are not approved in the United States, some desperate Americans turn to "stem cell tourism." Stem cell tourism is a growing practice of travel to clinics in other countries to receive stem cell therapies.
We hear tempting accounts of celebrities who are "cured" or somehow relieved of symptoms based on these expensive, foreign treatments. However, in the United States, some stem cell clinics operate in a gray area, as the FDA has not approved many treatments. Although the FDA has issued guidances concerning stem cells, it has not approved any stem cell products for general use.
Thus, the controversy and conflicting testimonials from patients who have tried stem cell therapies continues! Today, our Fit Family Report tries to clarify what stem cell therapy is and what the problems with approval represent.
Please let us know from you what you think of these revolutionary therapies.
I hope you enjoy the Fit Family Report as much as I delight in sending you news about what we can do to live happier, healthier lives. Please share this report and email me with your thoughts and suggestions.
With love,
Marta Perez, Ph.D., JD
