This month, students at SFDS learned the importance of dental care through a hands-on workshop led by the amazing City College of NY dentistry students. The presenters, including Chanell W. (a proud Deaf scholar), guided our kids in brushing and flossing techniques. They also taught about "sugar bugs" and how healthy foods like veggies and yogurt keep cavities away.
Each student left with new skills and a fun goodie bag filled with dental care essentials!
