Fellowship Dinner this week!
Join us this week for Fellowship Dinner on Wednesday night 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. No reservation is required. A generous love offering is appreciated to cover expenses but is not required.
This week the Deborah Circle will serve their “Almost Famous” Taco Dinner! You don’t want to miss this!

Sharing Our Blessings
Several weeks ago, our Worship Team members cleaned out our communion closet and found several items we no longer use or need. We asked our Capital District UMCs if there were any churches that might need some of the items and have been able to share some of our treasures!
Here is a picture of the cross and candlesticks in their new worshipping home! Please give thanks to God for the new life and use these special furnishings have!

College Connect Ministry

Our mission is to help our college students maintain their connection to God and a faith community. We want to encourage our young adults to grow in their relationship with God as well as to succeed in college.

Confirmation Classes
We are putting our plans in place for confirmation of youth!
In the United Methodist Church, confirmation is the public profession of faith in Christ and membership in the local church. This is the time in which our youth move from being dependent on the faith and practice of their parents and extended family and begin taking on young adult relationships with God, based on their own faith and practice.
Please contact Pastor Kim to ask questions and to make sure your youth is part of the group!
Confirmation will begin in September, meeting one or two Wednesdays each month, and will conclude with Confirmation Sunday on May 16, 2027. All youth in grades 6 or older are invited to participate!

Pray for The Grove UMC
Great News! We are invited to pray with and for a new United Methodist “church start” in Leland, NC! For the last 14 months, a launch team has been working, and a launch prayer team has been praying for the work to establish The Grove UMC.
Supported by Wrightsville Beach UMC, this new community will launch public worship on Sunday, October 4! We, too, can support this new faith community by praying for The Grove UMC and their pastor, Julia Hayes, as they hold their “preview” weeks over the next two Sundays prior to public worship.
In this space, we will share weekly updated prayer requests in this space for God to work in hearts and minds to grow disciples of Jesus Christ in a new place!

Welcome Mid-Week Methodism Classes!
We invite you to join us for our Mid‑Week Methodism Class, led by Joey Shelton, on Wednesdays. To fit your schedule, we offer two class times—3:30pm and 6:30pm—both held in Room 213. No registration is required, and everyone is welcome to learn, grow, and enjoy this mid‑week time of fellowship and study together.

GLOW Begins September 16
Wednesday night GLOW's drop-off and pickup will take place in the sanctuary. We’ll begin together as a large group, break into small groups, and then come back together in the sanctuary to close our evening as a large group.
We’re still looking for shepherds to help lead small groups of children. If you’d like to help guide and encourage our kids on Wednesday nights, please contact Jessica.

Where do I drop off donations?
Donations should be taken to the back porch of the Lassiter House, the white house at the corner of Church/Horne Streets. Pull into the driveway behind the house to unload.
