Update on Weather this Afternoon
Thank you all for your attention to our messages through tent captains this afternoon. We were fortunate that the lightning that was initially seen approaching did not manifest any closer. Based on the weather information currently provided to us by Mount Sunapee, the threat of a lightning storm has passed.
We recognize that due to the rain today, we were light on attendance, and this latest storm has caused additional patrons to leave. However, we do still have some guests in the tents, and to support their experience we want them to have the opportunity to continue to shop. We will therefore keep the Fair open until 5 PM as usual.
Any tent sides that have been dropped will remain down. The mountain staff will drop any remaining open sides following the close of the Fair.
Thank you to all of you for your flexibility and good humor today. We are looking ahead to many good weather days for the remainder of the Fair!
