Those of us lucky and blessed enough to have been touched by Ignatian spirituality over the years understand deeply the graces, tools and benefits this way offers us in encountering life in today's world. Whether young or old, Spanish or English speaking, single or married with kids, deeply religious or still just seeking, Ignatian spirituality has something to offer all persons, wherever they might be on the journey.
Therefore, OIS is excited to announce our latest program, VIA: The Ignatian Way, a new offering launching in January 2026 designed specifically for those new to the Ignatian tradition.
| |
Drawing upon the success of our previous programs such as Magis, School of Ignatian Spirituality, and Contemplative Leaders in Action, VIA participants will be given opportunities to explore the graces of Ignatian spirituality, learn about the Jesuit way of proceeding, reflect on their vocation, and prayerfully discern their response as “people of mission.”
Over the course of one year, cohorts (open to adults of all ages, in-person and virtual) will gather for facilitated retreats, days of reflection, spiritual conversation, and educational workshops.
- Do you have colleagues or work with a staff that could use a better understanding of the gifts of the Jesuit tradition?
- Do you want to be part of a community of friends seeking a greater sense of purpose, depth of relationship with God, and are eager to learn the Jesuit way of proceeding?
- Do you know someone who might benefit from discovering the gifts of Ignatian spirituality?"
Click here to complete a short interest form (or forward the link below to someone who might be interested.) We are currently finalizing program details and will launch a full website with additional information soon.
Thank you and we look forward to journeying with you via the Ignatian way.

The Soul Also Keeps the Score:
A Trauma-Informed Companion to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
by Fr. Robert W. McChesney, SJ
In this pioneering work, Fr. McChesney interprets the Spiritual Exercises as born in violence to the body and soul of their author, the traumatized, battle-wounded-turned-saint, Ignatius of Loyola. Grounded in Ignatius’s colorful narrative and influential pathway to God, Fr. McChesney insists that the two languages of mental health and spirituality can speak in one voice. Whether you are a spiritual, pastoral, or mental health professional, member of the care circle, or wounded seeker, The Soul Also Keeps the Score unlocks a treasure trove of fresh insight and hope.

JESUIT CONFERENCE OFFICE OF JUSTICE AND ECOLOGY
Stand Up for the Poorest Families and Our Common Home!
The U.S. Senate is currently debating H.R. 1, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" passed by the House of Representatives in May. This bill mainly relates to taxation, budget, and spending-- which influence our lives across a number of areas: from food security to family life, healthcare, the environment, immigration, education, and how we help the poorest among us. While there are some very good measures in H.R. 1, the Jesuit Conference Office of Justice and Ecology sent a letter to the Senate expressing our concern about several very harmful measures within the bill.
Join us in asking the U.S. Senate to prioritize human needs in the "One Big Beautiful Bill" by preserving health coverage, SNAP, and measures that protect our common home!
Take Action.
