Pennsylvania Regional Ballet presents it's annual Spring Gala Concert on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The performance will be presented at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the H.A.C.C. campus. Dancers from PRB's Pre-professional Division will present four premiere works and two ballets from our repertoire. It is sure to be an entertaining evening that you don't want to miss! The concert will include a new ballet choreographed by Jeffrey Gribler titled
Valse-Fantasie. An entertaining piece requiring quick and precise footwork with the charming quality that Mr. Gribler brings to the stage. PRB alumna Haley Baker, who will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Classical Ballet with an outside Field in Psychology from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington this Spring, set a beautifully constructed piece on five PRB dancers. Catching Up and Letting Go requires the dancers to work in unison while exploring their individuality. Borealis, Christine Aumiller Chandler's new work, has an introspective quality to the dancer's movement. Ms. Aumiller Chandler created this piece with an internal process which is evident as the ballet develops. Victoria Silva, PRB's School Director, has two ballet's on the program. Unraveled is her most recent neo-classical pointe piece featuring the Fifth Year class, PRB's advanced level. Set to music by The Wires, an alternative strings duo, this ballet is lively, brisk, and a little quirky. Kaleidoscopic will be performed by the Fourth Year classes featuring 16 dancers. Choreographed by Silva for PRB in 2016, this piece explores moving shapes and dynamics. PRB's Third Year dancers will be showcasing The Mouse Waltz, an excerpt from the Tales of Beatrix Potter, restaged by Erin Stiefel-Inch. This piece is cute, fun, and very enjoyable to watch. In conjunction with the performance, there will be a silent auction with all proceeds to benefit PRB dancers.
