FIRST LEGO TEAM FINISHES STRONG AT SECTIONALS
Congratulations to Southern Door Middle School’s First LEGO team who competed at the Sectional tournament in Appleton this weekend. Their robot finished 12th out of 29 teams. That was quite an accomplishment considering the level of competition. They won the Judge’s Award and were nominated for the Teamwork Award!

This was their last competition since they can only compete through 8th grade. They have learned many things over the past 4 years like teamwork, programming, research, gracious professionalism, and that hard work pays off. FIRST LEGO LEAGUE is not just about Legos It is so much more! They would like to thank Southern Door School, their families, community members and businesses who have supported them over the last 4 years!

Congratulations to Hailey Veeser, Spencer Slezewski, Avery VanRemortel, mentored by Tracy Slezewski.

CALLING ALL ALUMNI BAND MEMBERS FOR ALUMNI PEP BAND
Monday, January 6
Come join us on January 6 for the 2020 Southern Door HS alumni pep band night at the girls basketball game against Sturgeon Bay! If you are interested in playing, and would like the music ahead of time, please contact Band Director, Ms. Naomi Files at  nfiles@southerndoor.k12.wi.us . If you need an instrument, we can probably help you out! If you are interested in playing, have your own instrument, and are fine sight reading that night, just let Ms. Files know you'll be there, so she can have some music printed out for you. The group will meet in the high school band room at 6:30 that evening, to play through a couple of tunes before heading out onto the basketball court to play for both the pregame and half-time shows. Feel free to share this information with anyone you think might be interested!
