THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

April 8–12, 2026

The city's most beloved rolling art spectacle returns this weekend with the Houston Art Car Parade on Saturday, April 11 (2–4 PM). Bike to Allen Parkway early for close-up views, or go Sunday (11 AM–2 PM) to the Orange Show Awards Ceremony to meet the artists—without the crowds.

Thursday brings an afternoon AND an evening of conversation and reflection with Villa Albertine's Night of Ideas at Rice University.

This weekend, don’t miss Uncle Bob’s Photo Zine & Book Market — a two-day celebration of photo books, zines, and independent publishing, presented in partnership with the FotoFest 2026 Biennial at Silver Street Studios.

Enjoy these and other performances, wellness walks, exhibition openings, and more across the city this week!
