Supporting Our Vision Through Stewardship
At our quarterly All-Committee Night this past Monday, church leaders, including deacons, elders, and members of our church committees, gathered to discuss the Vision Plan and the commitments that will guide First Pres in the years ahead.
The conversation centered on three areas of focus: Christ-Centered Worship, Lifelong Spiritual Formation, and Community and Shared Experiences. Inspired by the congregation’s God-Sized Dreams, the plan includes 24 commitments that will help shape our future together.
Bringing this vision to life takes all of us. Your financial support helps make this work possible. When your 2027 Stewardship pledge letter arrives in the mail, please prayerfully consider how you can support our shared vision for First Pres.

Congregational Meeting on November 8
The Session has called a special meeting of the congregation for Sunday, November 8, immediately following worship, to elect an Associate Pastor Nominating Committee (APNC).
Rev. Nanette Sawyer's interim ministry will conclude in spring 2028, but the pastoral leadership she provides will still be needed. We are preparing to call an installed Associate Pastor to continue this work. In our Presbyterian tradition, the congregation elects the committee that searches for and recommends an Associate Pastor. This prayerful process often takes a year or more, so we are beginning now.
Please join us on November 8. Pray for those who will serve and for God's guidance as we seek an Associate Pastor to help us grow in faith and serve Christ.

Phishing Texts & Email Scams
Scams like spoofed emails and texts are becoming more common and can be very convincing. In some cases, scammers may pose as pastors, staff, or fellow members and ask for gift cards, money, personal information, or a quick response to a link.
Our pastors and staff will never ask for gift cards, money, or sensitive information by email or text. If something seems off, please call the church office at 847-362-2174 before taking any action.
