The University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD) is partnering with the University of Oregon Center on Brain Injury Research & Training (CBIRT) on a project to support parents of young children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who have some challenging behaviors. Their team has developed an online parent-training program for caregivers/parents of young children (ages 2 to 6 years) with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) that they think would be helpful to our autism community.
The UCCEDD is recruiting family caregivers (parents) for a paid research study, known as the Tots Project, to evaluate the program. Their project website, linked below, has more information about the project, and includes a video link that explains the objective and participation parameters. They are recruiting family caregivers from Ohio and Oregon, as well as Kentucky, Washington State, California, and potentially Indiana. Eligibility is determined via the Qualtrics Survey through the Oregon CBIRT. You can reach out to contact Kandyce Kelley via email for more information or questions.
