It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Charts of 1972 and is currently an earworm I can't shake! Some of you, of a certain age, may recall this hit by singer/songwriter Johnny Nash: "I Can See Clearly Now." The song came to mind as I began writing this little update. I had mentioned in my last one that I was preparing for a second eye surgery to repair the rather large macular hole in my retina. My eye surgeon convinced me to do it and I'm so glad I did! Thank God, my eye surgeon and everyone who has been praying for me, the hole is officially closed! I still may not be able to "see all obstacles in my way" as the song goes but it's certainly a good start!
And I'm overjoyed to be able to share my little Solanus Casey musical once again! This coming Saturday, October 5 at 6:45PM More Love than Skill: A Saint and His Fiddle will be performed at St. Fabian Catholic Church in Farmington Hills, MI. (see the poster for more details) It's "been a minute" since the last one back in July!
Again, thanks for all of your prayers, emails and phone calls to see how I've doing! And a special thanks to those able to make a donation through the Catholic Foundation of Michigan in support of my ministry!
Happy Feast of St. Francis to everyone and for all of my dear Jewish friends Shanah Tovah, a very sweet New Year!
Peace and All Good!
