As we welcome July, we look forward to one of Horseshoe Bay’s most cherished traditions: our annual Fourth of July celebration. This year’s theme, Liberty, Community and 250 Years Strong, gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect not only on our nation’s history, but also on the strength of the community we share right here in Horseshoe Bay.

The word community is at the heart of this year’s celebration. We are deeply thankful for the community leaders who give their time, energy, and service to help make Horseshoe Bay such a special place to live. This year, we are proud to honor several of these leaders as our Grand Marshals. Their dedication represents the best of Horseshoe Bay, and we invite everyone to come together on the Fourth of July to celebrate them, our neighbors, and the shared spirit that keeps this community strong.

Community pride shows up in many ways. It is found in the big moments, like gatherings for parades, patriotic programs, and celebrations, but also in the small things we do every day. Being a good neighbor matters. Pulling your trash can back in a timely manner matters. Checking in on someone who lives nearby matters. These simple gestures may seem small, but they help create the kind of thoughtful, welcoming community that makes Horseshoe Bay stand apart.

We also want to recognize the important role of the Horseshoe Bay Architectural Control Committee. The ACC serves a vital role in preserving the character, beauty, and standards of our neighborhoods. For members planning exterior updates, improvements, or construction projects, the Architectural Committee is an essential resource for approvals and guidance. Their work supports the continued beautification of Horseshoe Bay and helps ensure that improvements throughout the community are handled with care and consistency.

The Board also remains committed to improving and promoting our parks and trails. Our outdoor spaces are some of the great assets of Horseshoe Bay, and we continue working to make them more accessible, enjoyable, and appreciated by our members. One treasure we especially encourage you to explore is the Slick Rock Creek Trail, located at 1400 Forest Circle. With shaded paths, natural beauty, and a peaceful Hill Country setting, it may be the best-kept secret in Horseshoe Bay. We are working to get that secret out.

Thank you to our members for being part of this amazing community. Your involvement, pride, and care for one another make all the difference. As we celebrate Liberty, Community, and 250 Years Strong this July, we hope you will join us in honoring the people, places, and traditions that make Horseshoe Bay a wonderful place to call home.

✨ Here are the 'things to know' about this year's Independence Day Celebration event.

✅ Liberty, Community, and 250 Years Strong

This year’s theme reflects both the spirit of Independence Day and the milestone of America’s 250th birthday. The planning committee wanted a theme that was patriotic, meaningful, and true to HSBay, where neighbors come together to celebrate tradition, service, and community pride. “Liberty” honors the freedom at the heart of the holiday, while “Community” recognizes everyone involved in the celebration.

✅ Grand Marshals

This year’s Land Parade will be led by Grand Marshals who represent outstanding leadership and service in the Horseshoe Bay community. The HSB POA is proud to recognize Doug Jaffe and family, Jordan Jaffe and family, Eileen Hurd, and Horseshoe Bay Mayor Jeff Jones as this year’s Grand Marshals. Their commitment to Horseshoe Bay reflects the spirit of this year’s theme, Liberty, Community, and 250 Years Strong.

✅ Balloons & Land Parade

Balloons are being distributed at 420 Hi Circle South, courtesy of the Covin Golf Group, starting at 7:30. This is a new location closer to the assembly point for the land parade.

Thanks again to Marble Falls VFW Post 10376 for leading the parade and representing the colors.

And the biggest change this year is that the land parade starts 30 minutes earlier than in years past. Please help us get the word out about this big change.

✅ Boat Parade

Once again, the Police Department of Horseshoe Bay has graciously stepped up to assist with the Boat Parade this year.

The assembly point, route, and times are all the same as in years past.

The boat parade assembles at 10:00, starts at 10:30, and gets to Quail Point around 10:45 - 11:00.

Click here for the map of the assembly and parade route, and watch out for those water balloons.

✅ Dog Parade

The amazing gals from Hosier N' Friends Pet Sitters have graciously stepped up to manage the dog parade again this year. We're so fortunate to have professional handlers sponsor this event. With 3 trophies on the line: Most Patriotic, Best Personality, and Best in Show; there is plenty of tail-wagging to go around.

Due to limited space, it is imperative that you register your dog for this before Saturday.

Here is the registration link.

✅ Front of Quail Point Lodge

Thanks to Rowland Parking Pals for helping with the challenging traffic control; here is a parking map.

Star Republican Women are sponsoring and managing the children's games this year; thank you, STAR!

Women Working in Communion and Spirit return with delicious lemonade on this hot day.

And the Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance is giving away popsicles this year - yum!

✅ Inside Quail Point Lodge

Louraine Robertson will be selling the new Phone Directories (still $6) as you enter Quail Point. Right by Louraine, we will have a photo booth - 'Red, White & Snap!' POA employee Whit Holcomb will be taking pictures in the courtyard. POA employee Kirstie Dilworth will be running 'Kirstie's Corner' again for the little ones with some awesome activities. And Lake Church is sponsoring the Face Painting event this year in the Mesquite Room and Nook.

✅ Behind Quail Point Lodge

In our backyard (Quail Point Park), the dog parade will be center stage in the pavilion while the Boat Parade passes by. Two parades at once - oh my!

Huge thanks to The Resort, which will be serving complimentary hamburgers, chips, and treats.

The City of Horseshoe Bay is providing water and hot dogs; thank you!

And we will also have some cooling towels available in the back.

✅ Patriotic Program

The patriotic program begins inside Quail Point Lodge at 11:30 a.m. and will include several community partners and performers.

The Wildflower Dancers, led by Mary Daniels, and the Bluebonnet Chorale, led by Mary Williams, will be part of the patriotic program, helping bring music, performance, and community tradition to the celebration. Jennifer and Tom Stansbury will be reading the Declaration of Independence at 10:30 and 11:00 leading up to the program.

Lake Church Horseshoe Bay invites parents and grandparents to bring their children to Backyard Bible Boat Club, a special three-day neighborhood experience for children in preschool through 5th grade.

This year’s theme, “Best News of All,” will include Bible stories, games, simple experiments, creative crafts, and time with friends while learning about Jesus.
