I hope you're thinking about making a special year-end gift to support Helping Haitian Angels.
The prices for everything in Haiti have spiked. Everything costs 41% more than it used to.
This means expenses have increased for everything. 41% more for food. 41% more for backpacks and school supplies. Prices have gone up so much we’re increasing staff salaries so they can keep food on their own tables!
Increasing staff salaries to combat inflation was a difficult decision to make, but it is just and compassionate.
Helping Haitian Angels is not a large enough organization to absorb these new costs. I’m sure you can imagine what such a massive, overnight increase in expenses does to a small nonprofit.
The wonderful news is that you can help. Your gift this holiday season will go directly to helping children get the food, education and care they need.
A child should not have to suffer because of a monetary policy decision far beyond their control! So, here’s what your Christmas gift will do:
- $49.21 will provide a month of food, school and care for a child in need

$98.42 will provide a month of food, school and care for two children
- A generous gift of $147.63 will provide a month of food, school and care for three children!
Your gift will also ensure that the hardworking staff who love and care for the children at Kay Anj Village, will be able to feed their families.
The price increase won’t last forever. But it’s up to you and me to get the kids and staff through the next few months.
