In March we celebrate International Women's Day and
Women's History Month.
At Angela King Gallery, of 25 artists represented, 11 are women.
Here's some good news... in 2005, women ran 32% of museums in the United States, and they now run 47.6%. ArtReview’s 2023 Power 100 list of the “most influential people in the contemporary art world” included 46 women.
Throughout history, recognized or not, women have been at the forefront, breaking barriers, and empowering us to become the best version of ourselves. Whether it is your mother, sister, daughter, friend, or colleague, these women have been a source of
inspiration, motivation, and strength.
Imagine a gender equal world, free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive, where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Celebrate the women in your life this month and always.
