Hello Business,

On the thirtieth week of Ordinary Time, we are shown God’s mercy, constant love, and justice for us. Jeremiah reminds us to have faith during trying times as God loves us even in our hardest moments and in tough times. God will restore us through forgiveness and eternal life by Jesus’ most perfect gift of the sacrifice of His life. The New Testament reading shows us an example of this love through Jesus’ compassion for Bartimaeus, who shows his faith in God.

Livestream the Mass on Sunday at 11:00am on our Facebook page.

More photo's from Party Gras, our celebration of the Resurrection Community at our annual parish dinner.

Party Gras was a night filled with laughter, joy, fellowship, amazing music, and great Cajun food!

Thank you to all who sent us photos of the event, we really appreciate them.

Upcoming Events and Opportunities:

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Trick or Treat Event.

Choose a favorite Saint to dress up as and decorate a table

about. Children will go from table-to-table collecting treats and learning

about some of the wonderful Saints who helped make the Church what she is

today.

This event will be held on Super Sunday (November 3rd) at 9:45am this year, so there will be MANY children present.

You get an extra hour of sleep that weekend, so choosing to volunteer is a

wonderful use of that time!

We could use all the help we can get! Please consider helping with this event. It would really mean a lot to the children of our parish.

QCD

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $105,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.

RMD

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 72.

If you are over 72 years of age you qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.

Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.

We thank you in advance for considering Resurrection Catholic Church and School as recipients of your donations.
