ICS RUNS ON FAMILY DONATIONS!

Curriculum Enrichment! Art Day! Clubs! Scholarships! Much of what makes ICS a great school depends on parent financial support. We are off to a fantastic start. So far, we have raised 45% of our total budget.

In order to move forward with confidence, we need to fully fund our annual budget in the fall. Securing our budget requires each of us to contribute in September. Please help our students by donating now – donations that come in later in the year may be too late to support this year's activities. We ask for $225, and matching funds in addition, so we can cover our proposed budget. If you have question, please reach out to treasurer@icsptsa.org. Thank you!

Thanks to those who've already donated!

Please email president@icsptsa.org if you are interested!

FROM THE DEI COMMITTEE

When is Hispanic Heritage Month in 2024?

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 to October 15. It is a time to appreciate and celebrate the colorful cultures, rich histories, and diversity of the American Latino community.

History of Hispanic Heritage Month

Observation of Hispanic Heritage Week started in 1968 under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was later extended to a 30-day celebration by President Ronald Reagan, starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. It was enacted into law via approval of Public Law 100-402 on August 17, 1988.

Traditions of the Day

The month is celebrated in a plethora of ways. As several other celebratory holidays fall during this month — such as the independence days of several Latin American countries — concerts, parades, food fairs, and more are organized throughout. Educational events like art exhibitions take place as well, highlighting important Latino heroes in history.
