Just as I am wrapping up this newsletter I realized I forgot the one place that has been increasing in popularity and is open 24/7 - our online store that we just expanded by adding over 30 states as shipping destinations.
Make sure to check out our upcoming events: (1) An Afternoon with Chocolate and Wine, (2) Rosé La, La, La, a tasting in Denver with 13 Colorado wineries in attendance.
Yes, May is the month to celebrate with Rosé, whether you like it dry (Rosé 2020) or sweet (A Touch of Red).
No matter where you enjoy Bookcliff wine, we appreciate your support.
Cheers,
Ulla & John

Places to Find Bookcliff Wines
|
It will surprise you to learn about the many places you can find Bookcliff wines.
Almost all wineries have a tasting room. Bookcliff Vineyards has even two, one in Boulder that is part of the winery and one in Palisade at one of our vineyards. In Boulder you are seated in the tasting room or our barrel room and the seating in Palisade is outside where you can enjoy the views of our vineyards; in Boulder you can see our vineyards on our new big-screen television. In both places we offer tastings as well as wine by the glass, snackpacks to have with your wine and you can purchase bottles to take home. Our knowledgeable staff will help you find a wine that you will like whether you prefer red, white or sweet wines. Visit both tasting rooms to learn what Bookcliff Vineyards has to offer.

Wholesale has always been an important part of Bookcliff Vineyards. You will find Bookcliff wines in more than 130 stores from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs and in Mesa County. Colorado is unique amongst the states with its extensive network of independently owned liquor stores. Most liquor stores have a section dedicated to Colorado wines, often advertised with a banner of the Colorado flag. Increasingly liquor stores place Colorado wines according to their grape varieties, so you may find Bookcliff Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon next to Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon from California. Some liquor stores decided to do both, have a Colorado section and place Colorado wines according to their grape varieties. Unfortunately, the Colorado section is often in an obscure location, such as at the end of an aisle, in the back of the store or across from the beer cooler; one liquor store placed the Colorado section in the aisle without a number. Check out our Instagram posts with Danica Ortivez, our sales manager, visiting liquor stores up and down the Front Range.

A place less common for wine are farmers markets. Bookcliff Vineyards has sold its wines at local farmers markets since 2000. Now, you can find our booths on Saturdays at the Longmont Farmers Market at the Boulder fairground and on 13th Street between Canyon and Arapahoe at the Boulder Farmers Market. Starting on Father’s Day you will also find our booth every Sunday on Meadow Drive at the Vail Farmers Market. At this time, we are not allowed to sample our wines at the markets, but we have been offering our five-wine samplers to take home as supplies last.

|
Last but not least you find Bookcliff Vineyards wines by the glass on restaurant menus. We are glad to see restaurants re-opening and ordering wine. At this time, we are serving 14 restaurants that order regularly from Boulder to Denver and in Palisade. Ensemble, Cadenza, Friday’s Folly Red and Syrah are the most popular choices.
No matter where you purchase our wines, we appreciate your support of local, Colorado wine.

An Afternoon with Chocolate and Wine
|
Join us to savor, socialize, and learn about crafting premium local luxury goods. Bookcliff Vineyards will be pouring two ounces of four Colorado wines, including our Ensemble, Syrah, Malbec Reserve, and Moscato. Moksha Chocolate (winner of 2021 Best of Boulder for local chocolate), will unwrap single-source chocolates from Belize and Peru, one to accompany each wine. With two seatings in our elegant fresh-air tasting room/winery, a ticket guarantees ample space for each attendee or group. Tickets also include a handout with room for personal notes and a full-size craft chocolate bar to take home.
When you purchase a ticket, please select either the 1:00pm or 4:00pm seating; both sessions are identical.
