National Trails Day - Take a Hike

June is the Great Outdoors Month, and June 7 marks National Trails Day!

North Carolina is the Great Trails State so it's only fitting to celebrate by getting out on local trails and take a hike. The NC High Country has a plentiful amount of trails. You may remember back in 2023 when we walked one trail a week for an entire year! That is 52 trails within a 25 mile radius of Blowing Rock.

Hiking should be enjoyable and help people to get closer to nature! If you're new to hiking, have accessibility concerns, or are out of practice, research ahead to ensure your safety and comfort. Don't forget to pack out your trash and be a good steward of our outdoor spaces!

Be prepared and pack a bag!

Mile of Flowers Returns
