Help Us Grow Our Tree...Donate Today

Ongoing is our happy receipt of all your tax-deductible donations to the Friends 501c3. If you would like to see a leaf on the beautiful tree mural in the lobby, visit this link:

Donate

Each donor will have their name appear on a leaf of the tree on our new mural in recognition of your support. You can pay via PayPal or bring a check to the library made out to the Friends of the Rowley Library. Green leaves for individuals are $25. An orange family leaf is $50. And a gold top contributor leaf is $100. These donation leaves are replacing our traditional, costly May mailed membership drive.

Your support helps the library offer great programming and resources all year long!

Join us at our next meeting: Wednesday, April 2 at 7pm at the library.

Featured Artists:

March display: artists from Pine Grove School

Our budding 6th grade artists have been working on mandala style drawings, exploring the idea of radial symmetry and freehand versus stenciled designs. Students looked at many examples including a video about the sand mandalas(used as a meditation) created daily by Buddhist monks. Each chose to freehand or use stencils for their designs.

In the Display Case:

This month in the display case view items from the collection of Great Bay Tai Chi studio and Lead Instructor Chris Himmel. These include books and media, photos, and some props and weapons typically used in Tai Chi practice and related arts. Great Bay Tai Chi is based in Salisbury and offers classes ins several local communities in MA and NH.

All are invited to join GBTC students and instructors for free lessons and demonstrations on World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, April 26, 2025 on the Newburyport waterfront behind the Custom House Maritime Museum.

Would you like to share your art or collectibles with others?

We have been proud to show off so many local artists and collectors in the past! If you would be interested in displaying your work, hobby, or interest in the future, either on our walls or in our display case, please contact us.

MARCH KIDS PROGRAMMING

March Passive Programming:

Each month in the Children's Room, you'll be able to participate in a themed scavenger hunt for a special bookmark and a guessing game to win a prize!

March's theme is all about SPRING! When you need a break from the cold weather, stop by to check out our March Book Displays! This month, we explore all of the Spring, Women’s History Month, St. Patrick's Day, and books that haven’t been checked out in FIVE YEARS!

Teens can stop by to check out displays on Spring Romance, and our Women’s History Month display on the spinning column by the windows.

Kids Guessing Game: We’d like to start planting these flower seeds since Spring is just around the corner but they’re all trapped in this jar! Would you do your best at helping us to count how many seeds are in there? 5 years & younger | 6 to 12 years. March 1st to March 31st.

iSpy Game: Flowers have bloomed all around the Children’s Room! Can you wander around the room and help us find them? One prize per month. March 1st to March 31st.

Teen Guessing Game: There’s no better time like the start of Spring than to get started on making new friends! And what new friend wouldn’t love a bracelet? The only problem is that all of our beads are trapped in this jar! Can you help tell us how many are in there? Prizes will be awarded to the two closest guesses. For tweens & teens ages 11 – 18, March 1st to March 31st.
