TEXTILE BINS AT THE TRANSFER STATION
The white textile collection bins in the Transfer Station parking lot collects and transports the bagged clothing, linens, other textiles, and shoes to a huge warehouse in Massachusetts. It is sorted into three categories: usable clothing, fiber conversion, and wiping rags. Bay State pays the Transfer Station per pound of donated textiles. Please bag your items to put into bins.
| |
SWAP SHOP ETIQUETTE
Please place items in the sections indicated by signs throughout the Swap Shop. Do not put boxes of books or bags of clothing and textiles on the floor; they get opened and strewn about, making them dirty and taking up considerable space. Be considerate and helpful. If the book area is overflowing, consider taking them instead to a local library when they are collecting for book sales. The Cornwall Library accepts books most of the year (call first to check that it is current policy).
