Vintage eBay Scout Auctions This Weekend
Sometimes I get Boy Scout collections mailed to me on preview. In this case the family knows for sure they want to get the items recycled back into Scouting and they trust me to give them a fair offer. In this video I have two boxes that came this which both needed to be opened and evaluated. These collections were from opposite sides of the country (Washington State & Georgia) but actually a few common items.
I also found a ziplcok that had about 30 items from his father. I really geeked out about this part of the collection as his dad was an Air Explorer in the early 1960s who earned the Silver Award. In the video I can see there is a 3rd bag that is from a different 1970s time period. I speculated on camera that this could be from an uncle. But after going back through our email communication I found where he said a neighbor had given him Scout stuff many years ago.
On eBay I have 222 live auctions with a bunch of those ending this weekend. This includes a run of SAPs from all over, some Jamboree contingent pieces and stuff from a Pellissippi 230 collection.
This weekend the warehouse cat is scheduled to go home. I just took Suki to the vet for her final booster shots so she should be all clear. However, my "kitten" is very much in heat. The doc told me she is probably 6-7 months old and with our male cat being fixed it's not a problem. But getting them "adjusted" to each other will start today. We will keep Suki in a separate room and see how the weekend goes with them smelling the other etc. Keep your fingers crossed for the Spangler family LOL!
