- Tuesday, October 8th
- Wednesday, October 9th
***Please note that this will be the only Donuts with Grownups event this school year.***
Additional Details:
All cars should park on the playground side of the school. The parking lot must be cleared by 7:50 a.m., as our buses will be arriving near this time. The gate will close at 7:35 a.m., so plan to arrive early.
When leaving, parents will need to exit on the north end of the parking lot, wrapping around the back of the building; yielding to the car line traffic at the northwest corner. Also, parents should not allow their child(ren) to go to their classroom. Parents should drop-off their child(ren) in the gym, beginning at 7:30 a.m. when they leave the building.

Back-to-School Forms - Registration Gateway
The Back-to-School Registration Gateway has been updated for the 2024-2025 school year annual forms collection, and is now open to the public. This offers parents the opportunity each year to review the information that the school has on file for your student(s), and to electronically sign all the required annual forms. If you are already registered, you do not need to re-register. This is simply to review the information we currently have on file and then sign this school year’s annual forms.
Please make note of the following when logging into Registration Gateway -
1. The Family Review functionality has been activated. Parents/Guardians will login by youngest child to update ALL students in the family.
Parents will login to Registration Gateway with their youngest child's information:
Username - Youngest Student ID
Password - Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY)*
*8-Digit Birthdate, No Dashes/Slashes/Spaces, Only Numbers
Current Student Registration: www.springboro.org/ReturningStudents.aspx
NOTE - Not Completing This Online Verification May Keep Your Student From Attending Any Field Trips During the School Year
The District requires this information to be completed by September 30, 2024. Address changes cannot be updated in the Current Student Registration Gateway. If you have an address change, please contact your student’s building secretary.
We want to provide ample time to everyone to complete the necessary student registration information. If you have any questions regarding this online process, please contact the Registration Office at 937-748-6003.

WOW, it’s been a busy school year already! We were lucky enough to have visited all 44 classrooms during Tech Lab to welcome students back to school, and introduce ourselves to new students and to our second graders. We also hosted a "Welcome Gathering" for all of our students new to Five Points Elementary School! When visiting the school, be on the lookout for our “Welcome Board” near the cafeteria with all of the new faces!
Here is a look at our upcoming lessons in September and October!
In September, when student come to the Tech Lab, we will be focusing on Kindness and Bullying.
Bullying-
- Ask your child what three things to consider when facing a situation that may be bullying. (BOO- Being mean, On purpose, Over and over or RIP- Repeated, Intentional, imbalance of Power)
- What is being mean versus bullying?
Kindness-
- How can students show kindness?
- How can students be respectful to one another and our school?
In October, we will begin our Child Safety Matters curriculum starting with Lesson 2.
- Lesson 2- In this lesson we focus on the following:
- 5 Safety Rules (reviewed each lesson)
- Bystander vs. Upstander
- Bullying and cyberbullying
- Kindness
- Internet Safety/Digital Safety
CSM Lesson 2 and our September lesson go perfectly with National Bullying Awareness month, which is in October!
Red Ribbon week is also in October. More information to come on the activities planned for this week. (October 23-31)
Remember, words are powerful and it costs nothing to be kind!
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!

District Safety
As a district, we are committed to responding to any threat toward a safe school environment. We have a wonderful partnership with the City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township. Our District Crisis Team assesses safety protocols regularly, and we remain in constant communication, as needed, with our two (2) School Resource Officers (SROs), as well as the officers of the Springboro PD and Clearcreek Twp. Police Officers will continue to periodically walk through our school buildings, along with our full-time SROs, throughout the school year.

*Those students who ride their bike/scooter to school or walk...
Students who walk/ride their bikes to school will still enter through the front of the building through Doors 5 and 6 beginning at 8:15 a.m. each morning.
Car Rider & Daycare Drop Off in the A.M.
Drop off for car riders and daycare buses may begin at 8:00am and should end by approximately 8:25am. All cars and daycare buses should arrive no later than 8:25am in order for students to make it to their classrooms by 8:30am.
Parents who drive their child(ren) to school will begin the car line around the building on the WEST side - at Door 3 (gym). PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR CHILD IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. A staff member will be at Door 3 each morning to monitor arriving students. Students will go to the gym and will be monitored by a staff member until dismissed at 8:15 a.m. Parents will loop around the staff parking lot and exit out the west front exit. Please watch for students using our cross-walk. Additionally, we ask that cars do not pass cars in front of them. Cars should follow the flow of traffic, and remain in their spot in the car line, until exiting the parking lot.
Car Rider & Daycare Pick Up - P.M. - DISMISSAL
Dismissal for car riders and daycare buses will begin at 3:05pm and will end by approximately 3:20pm. All cars and daycare buses should arrive no later than 3:15pm in order to ensure all students can be picked up by 3:20pm.
The car rider line will form around the front of the building and will continue to the West side staff parking lot. Please stay on the left side of the lane as you enter school grounds, and then you will merge into one of two lanes next to the curb. Staff members will be present to direct traffic in the front of the school. PLEASE have your car rider number displayed and ready to go at ALL TIMES as you proceed through the car line! Staff members will be collecting numbers as the line forms. Students will be dismissed in groups based on your position in line. For safety reasons, students must enter the car on the curb side only. Please follow the direction of our staff members to ensure a smooth pick-up process. Please DO NOT park in the staff parking lot and cross the line of traffic to pick-up your child(ren). You also may not park in the front of the school to pick up your child(ren). All car riders must follow this process in order to ensure the safety of all students.
When in the car line, please be cognizant not to block the handicap ramp located in the front of the school. This ramp should always be clear and not be blocked by any vehicles, at any time. Additionally, when in the line, please be sure to pull up as close as possible to the vehicle in front of you in order to allow for as many cars as possible in our car line. We also ask that vehicles do not pass cars in front of them. All vehicles should follow the flow of traffic, and remain in their spot in the car line, until exiting the parking lot.
Please click here to review the route map for A.M. & P.M car riders.
End of the Day - DISMISSAL
Pick up at the end of the day should occur in our car line unless your child is a walker or is riding the bus home. Parents should not be parking and meeting students in the front of the building, or in the main office unless you were called for a sick child, you forgot your car rider number, or special arrangements have been made with administration. Students will not be dismissed to a parked car in the front lot. We appreciate your attention to our dismissal guidelines!
Change in PM Dismissal Communication
If you need to notify the school that your child(ren) will need to change the way he/she typically goes home from school, please contact the office 937-748-6090 as soon as possible. We ask that these calls be made no later than 2:45pm. After this time, we cannot guarantee that these requests can be granted. It is always best to send in a note for the change when advance notice can be given. You may also email our receptionist, Patty Wolpert. Having the communication in advance, helps us to ensure we are able to dismiss our bus fleet in a timely manner.
If you send an email to your child's classroom teacher of a schedule change, please include Mrs. Wolpert (pwolpert@springboro.org) on the email as teachers may not have an opportunity to check their email in the late afternoon, prior to dismissal time.
Daycare Communication ... IMPORTANT
If there is a change in transportation, or your child goes home prior to dismissal, please notify your daycare provider of the change. This notification is extremely important as it will allow for our bus dismissal to happen in a timely manner.
