Employee Spotlight

This month, meet Christy Flint, Stakeholder Relations Specialist. Christy has been a Stakeholder Relations Specialist for almost two years. She takes pride in providing excellent customer service and assisting participants and their employees with any questions, concerns, or issues they may experience.

Christy is committed to ensuring everyone receives the support and assistance they need. "I really enjoy assisting participants and their teams to be successful in self-directing," says Christy. 

Get Ready to Vote with Living Boldly

Living Boldly is Fello's self-advocacy group. Anyone with a disability can join.

Living Boldly believes:

• People with disabilities should be included in everything.
• Our voices should be heard on important issues.
• We grow stronger by helping each other become more independent.

The topic for this month's meeting is Ways to Speak Up and Getting Ready to Vote.

Fall Movie Night at Fello at The Mall

We hold events at Fello at The Mall in the Annapolis Mall every month. Each month has a new theme or activity. Join us for our October Movie Nights!

• Tuesday, October 20 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM
• Saturday, October 24 from 11:00AM – 2:00PM

Mileage

As a reminder, employers can offer their employees mileage reimbursement.

Please keep in mind:

• Employees can only request mileage reimbursement on days they worked.
• Employees must also turn in a timesheet for that same day.

The service listed on the mileage form must match the service selected on the timesheet.

Invoice Reminders

Fello reviews and processes thousands of invoices every day. We review to make sure invoices include the following requirements from the DDA's Self-Directed Services Manual:

• Name of the Participant
• Name of Provider
• Service Provided
• Dates of service
• Start and end time of each service
• Number of hours/units each day
• Name of direct support professional who provided the service
• A description of tasks completed for each time entry
• Total amount charged

As of September 7, 2026, Fello also requires you to submit a  Vendor Payment Request Form with each invoice. The Employer's signature and date of signature must be on the Vendor Payment Request Form.
