From Your Administrative Team
Greetings Connect K8 Families,

We want to officially welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year! We are so excited to re-connect with many of you, and to welcome many of you to our community for the first time! While this year brims with the excitement of being back together in-person, COVID-19, especially developing information regarding the Delta Varient, guarantees that our year will be full of shifts and changes, causing us to rely on our habit of flexibility and our priority of being community-minded. Thank you for taking this journey with us and trusting us with your beloved children.

Speaking of beloved children, we want to introduce you to our newest member of the Connect Community! ! Megan, speech pathologist and former Core 3 teacher, and her husband welcomed Pearl Katz to the world on July 22nd. We are all over the moon and just smitten with sweet baby Pearl!

Finally, we want to thank the multitude of families who showered us with love in the form of snacks, treats, meals and more in the weeks leading up to welcoming back our students and families! Each small gesture, donation, and note warmed our hearts and fueled our learning; during the past two weeks, our staff engaged in professional development around our summer reading Equity by Design, reimagining PBL, Gender Identity and Inclusion, Trauma Informed Practices and Restorative Practices, as well as refining our assessment and feedback of essential skills.

If you haven't yet reviewed our COVID handbook and Family Handbook, please do so ;)

Cheers to a fantastic 2021-2022 school year!
Take Good Care,
Kaitlin and Tami

Chromebook Return
If you are a returning family who borrowed a chromebook last year and have not yet returned it, please return it and any other devices (chargers, hot spots, etc.) to the front office ASAP!

Without a total inventory we can't successfully re-distribute to classrooms or to specific populations of families who might need to borrow a device for the 2021 school year.
Care and Comfort Kits!
As part of our emergency preparedness plan, we ask all families to contribute a Care and Comfort Kit for their child(ren). Please use THIS FORM to create your child's care and comfort kit.

Care and Comfort Kits should be dropped off during your child's 1:1 meeting, or during the first week of on-campus classes.

**Care and Comfort Kits will NOT be returned at the end of the year. Please only provide copies of photos/documents and do not include any personal items that you wouldn't want thrown away/donated. Thank you!
