In Memoriam

What a lucky day it was when Raina and Jesse Sainz made the decision to move to our neighborhood. Her lighted-hearted energy, infectious smile and cute giggle made us feel instantly comfortable.

Raina has battled cancer for about 2 years. About 3 months ago, knowing that her time was limited, she added a screened-in porch to her home. And, while she was at it, upgraded the rest of the backyard. She wanted a place to listen to wildlife and leave a space for Jesse and the cats to enjoy the outdoors. She passed away on October 7, 2026.

She was a strong woman and a beautiful force of nature who enjoyed life to its fullest. She cared about all of us. Raina was an example of how to love every minute of life and how to take every opportunity to enjoy what one has, not what one wishes they had.

You may remember Raina from the 2024 Cinco de Mayo celebration. She headed up this effort, which was very successful. She was the “Queen” of every party and of course, the queen of Jesse’s life.

She remained upbeat and never revealed the distress she was experiencing from her illness. As Raina would say “We all need to chill and enjoy life”. Her last thoughts and actions were for the wellness of Jesse and their feline babies.

Thanks for enriching our lives. We will always love and keep you close to our hearts.

Rest in peace.
