Chamber Chatter December 6, 2016                        Issue 089

STAFF SPEAKING

Here is a note from the Membership & Events Manager, Laura Lawrence:

"The great thing about my role at the Chamber is meeting new or existing members and organizing events to connect them.

We have two opportunities to connect before the year is over. Join us on December 13th for "The State of Prince George now and in the future" and celebrate our annual Block Party with the Chamber, Community Futures and Integris Credit Union on December 15th.

Chamber events will begin in the New Year with, "IPS Deloitte: 24x7 protection against cyber threats Speaker Series Luncheon". See our events page for more information. I hope to see you there..."

CN'S CARBON REDUCTION PROJECT FOR BUSINESS

How can a UNBC course help YOUR business?

Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule, and it could pay dividends for your business AND a UNBC student!

Earlier this year, Rita produced a carbon footprint analysis for Staples, as well as Nancy O's.  Along with her class partner, Rita utilized information gathered from utility bills, employee commuting surveys and paper consumption. It was an opportunity to apply what she'd learned in UNBC's Carbon Management Course. The university relies on the Chamber to connect students with real-world case studies.

"CN's Carbon Reduction Project for Business" is one of the Chamber's projects to help members operate greener, cheaper and smarter.

Contact the Chamber's Project Coordinator, Barbara Otter, to secure your spot today!
