Let the World Know

Titus 2:11-12 (NIV®)

The grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

When we think about God’s grace, we generally think about the salvation God offers us through the blood of Jesus, and that thought is absolutely true and appropriate. But God’s grace has even more for us. It teaches us to say “no” to things that are ungodly, even if we actively pursued ungodliness in the days before we came to Jesus. It teaches us self-control, even if we struggled with self-control in the past. It teaches us to live in a way that honors the Lord, even if we had no intention of honoring Him before. Satan tells us that we should say yes to ungodliness and no to God, but the Bible says that we should say yes to God and no to ungodliness. Let the world know that you are willing to be different. Let the world know that you are a believer in God’s grace. Make it clear that because of that, your life’s aim is to live a godly life.

THINK ABOUT IT

It’s time to say “yes” to godliness and “no” to ungodliness. When you do, God will not just meet you—He will reward you.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for providing everything I need to live a godly life. Awaken me to Your eternal purposes and grant me the understanding and wisdom I need to be pleasing in Your sight. May Your Kingdom become more real to me than the things of time. I want to walk before You in holiness and godliness all of my days. In Jesus' name, amen.

Blessings,

Pastor Allen Jackson
