CRSP wins award at UPSIDE ceremony
The University of Pittsburgh celebrated the Center on Race and Social Problems (CRSP) and Yolanda Covington-Ward, chair of the Africana Studies department, for their contributions to advancing Pitt’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals. The University Prize for Strategic, Inclusive and Diverse Excellence or UPSIDE Award went to the CRSP, while Covington-Ward received the annual Equipoise Creating a Just Community Award. Goodkind named Editor-in-Chief team at Affilia
Associate Professor Sara Goodkind is part of a three-person Editor-in-Chief team at Affilia, the feminist social work journal. Their first editorial, "Pandemics, Protests, and Feminist Politics of Resistance," just appeared in the February 2021 issue. It speaks to the current moment and their hope and vision for Affilia to be a forum for social workers to engage in critical dialogue as they collectively "attempt to emerge and recover from the pandemic, regroup from continual assaults on basic human rights, and address ongoing structural racism and its intersections with renewed energy and urgency." 
Rauktis appointed as Children’s Book Editor 
Research Associate Professor Mary Beth Rauktis has been appointed as the Children’s Book Editor for the Journal of Intergenerational Relationships published by Taylor and Francis. The journal targets both researchers and practitioners. The book editor generally reviews books that have an intergenerational flavor to them. Read more.
