TX400 is a grassroots, bipartisan coalition of Texas physicians united by a simple but important belief: patients deserve safe, transparent, physician-led care.

Our members come from across Texas and across the practice of medicine. We are primary care physicians and specialists. Surgeons and anesthesiologists. Practicing and retired physicians. Residents and medical students.

Different specialties. Different communities. Different backgrounds.

One shared commitment: protecting Texas patients and the integrity of the practice of medicine.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Healthcare works best when patients understand who is providing their care, what their qualifications are, and who is ultimately responsible for their treatment.

Nurse practitioners, CRNAs, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are important members of the care team.

But training matters.

Physicians complete medical school followed by years of rigorous postgraduate residency training. Patients deserve to understand that distinction and to have access to a physician when their medical needs require one.

Transparency isn't just good policy. It's the foundation of patient trust.

WHAT WE'RE FIGHTING FOR

TX400 advocates for policies at the Texas Capitol that:

• Protect Patient Safety: Texas healthcare policy should put the safety and well-being of patients first.
• Preserve Physician-Led Care: Every Texan should have access to a fully trained physician when they have a medical need.
• Promote Healthcare Transparency: Patients should be able to easily understand the credentials, training, and role of the person providing their medical care.
• Protect the Integrity of Medicine: The practice of medicine should remain grounded in rigorous medical education, clinical training, accountability, and high professional standards.

As Texas approaches the 2027 Legislative Session, TX400 is strengthening our organization, growing our membership, building relationships at the Capitol, and preparing to give Texas physicians a stronger voice in the policies that shape the practice of medicine.

THE FOUNDING 400

This year, we're building the next chapter of TX400 through our Founding 400 — a coalition of 400 physicians and advocates committed to building a stronger, more effective physician-led voice at the Texas Capitol.

A $400 contribution supports TX400's advocacy, legislative engagement, physician outreach, member communications, and coalition-building efforts ahead of the 2027 legislative session.

Our goal: 400 members standing together for Texas patients.
