Good Friday morning everyone! Time is FLYING by at the Huneycutt house, and I am sure at your house as well, especially if you have a child in school.

Our daughter, Mary Elizabeth, is graduating from college in a couple of weeks and then of course Graham and the rest of the Class of 2026 will graduate from high school in early June. We are measuring in weeks, and it is so hard to enjoy each moment because we have one event after another lined up. But what a blessing it is.

Speaking of blessings, we have had a wonderful spring semester at youth. Daniel has been a tremendous addition to our youth family and I cannot thank him enough for the massive role he has taken. This Sunday marks our LAST regular youth meeting in Aldersgate and I hope we have a big crowd.

We are going to look at the Sermon on the Mount and do a little “translating” so I would ask all our youth to come prepared to think about how the words of Christ might apply and be shared today. It should be a lot of fun.

Our snack supper volunteers are Stephen and Stephanie Gable. Youth begins at 6:00 and ends at 7:30.

BEACH TRIP INFO – FRIDAY MAY 1 – SUNDAY MAY 3

It is finally here! I am very excited about this year’s beach trip, and we have a great big group going.

We will be heading back to Ocean Isle Beach on Friday afternoon and will be back to church by early afternoon Sunday. Parents, I will be emailing you an itinerary along with packing suggestions and other information about our trip today. Most important item – SUNSCREEN! Every year we have at least one human tomato despite our constant nagging so be sure your youth has sunscreen!

If you owe money or permission slips, they may be turned in this week or even next Friday.

We have a great big house with a pool, 7 big bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and it is on the beach. Let’s go big!

NO YOUTH – MAY 10 – MOTHER’S DAY

We will not have youth on Mother’s Day Sunday so all our kids can celebrate you wonderful moms.

YEAR END PARTY – SUNDAY, MAY 17 – KLEIN HOUSE

Once again, Bert and Jen Klein have graciously offered to host our year end party. We will share the details prior to the event but expect a start time of 5:00 and end around 7:30.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PARENTS

If you haven't RSVPed for our Senior Sunday breakfast and service on May 31, please be sure to call the church office at 336-227-6263 (or email pamela@frontstreetumc.org) and confirm by May 1. I hope you and your family will join us for this meaningful morning.
