Wolfhound Wednesday - August 19th, 2026 | | Incoming Kindergartners attending WOW Day! | |
The Saliba Scoop
Dear SBK Families,
Wow! The week is here! We all thoroughly enjoyed getting to see everyone yesterday at Meet the Teacher and Kindergarten WOW day! It was a special day to reconnect and meet new friends!
Thank you for the prayers this week while our teaching staff attended the Diocesan Evangelization Day of Eucharistic Amazement. We spent time together in prayer, celebrating the Mass, sharing a meal, and in Eucharistic Adoration. During our time together, Bishop Earl Fernandes, Bishop Thomas Daly from the Diocese of Spokane, and Sister Mary Michael Fox spoke to us about instilling awe and wonder in our children! Bishop Fernandes recently released a new pastoral letter, An Act of Hope, on Catholic education. I invite you to read it here. More to come on this beautiful letter!
I am happy to announce we, along with the parish, have hired a Marketing and Communications Director. Kristen Schneider is a wife and mother of two, a St. Brigid parishioner and devoted volunteer to our PSR program. She is starting soon, so when you see her around the building, please welcome her and say hello! You will see some exciting new additions to the Wolfhound Wednesday beginning soon. Stay tuned!
Finally, happy first day of school! We feel so fortunate to partner with you and provide a safe, virtuous place for your children to thrive. We hope you can join us for our first all school Mass of the year. Being present with your children during this celebration is an incredible way as a family to build on our shared Catholic faith. Please see the email from Mr. Mazon last week for more details.
St. Brigid of Kildare, pray for us!
Many blessings,
Carli Saliba

Calling All Room Parents!
Home and School is looking to finalize the Room Parent volunteer lists for our Fall Harvest Party (Friday, October 30th, 1:30pm) and St Valentine’s Party (Friday, February 12th, 1:30pm). Three (3) parents per homeroom will be selected (by draw of names) from all names submitted in each class; interested and PGC certified parents can sign up to volunteer via this link no later than Friday, September 4th. Once names are drawn and confirmed, a Room Parent informational meeting will be held in early September with details for the upcoming class parties.
Additionally, Social Chairs are needed for each grade (ideally 2-4 parents per grade, PGC certified applicants may register to volunteer). This is a great opportunity to organize after-hours social events for parents and/or families of each grade to get together and socialize within our community. If you enjoy meeting new families, putting names and faces with students and parents, and have an interest in organizing a fun evening once or twice a year, we’d love to have you on the Social Chair team! Please use this link to sign up by Friday, September 4th.
And don't forget, Classroom parties are funded in part from the Annual Fund. We appreciate your early donation!
