The ReMarks

October 29, 2025

There was a pastor who once lost their place in the worship service and accidentally skipped straight to the closing hymn. The choir looked panicked, the ushers looked thrilled, and the congregation looked like they’d just won the liturgical lottery.

We hope you enjoyed reading that one as much as we enjoyed writing it!

Jokes a side, we're beginning a new sermon series on stewardship! This series explores how caring for our community, showing up for one another, and sharing our gifts are all part of what it means to be a good steward.

James 1:17 & John 3:16

Daylight Saving Time ends

This is your reminder to set your clock back an hour as Daylight Saving Time ends on November 2!

We won't judge you if you show up to service an hour early on Sunday, but we will know that maybe you didn't read the ReMarks.

The choice is yours!

All Saints Sunday

We will be honoring those who are no longer with us on November 2nd during our All Saints Sunday Service.

If someone you knew passed away between now and last November, bring a photo of them to the 11am Service. We'll line the window sills of the Sanctuary with pictures of our dearly departed.

If you would like their name mentioned from the pulpit that morning, please complete this form.

Saint Mark Building Tour

Whether you're a local history enthusiast or a longtime member of our congregation, you're invited to the special guided tour of Saint Mark. This tour will also be led by Bill Sanders (we love you Bill!) and is a follow-up to the DeKalb History Center’s recent lecture on architect Willis F. Denny, whose vision shaped our Sanctuary in 1902.

You’ll hear the story behind our twelve Franz Meyer stained-glass windows, original Sanctuary furnishings, and the serene Francis Winship Walters Chapel, built in 1947.

This event is open to the public as well as Saint Mark members. Attend and rediscover the beauty of our church home through the lens of legacy, faith, art, and architecture.
