Spring Housing Intent

All students must submit spring intent by November 3. Please visit the Housing Portal to complete your spring intent.

Pull-In Requests

In the event of a vacancy in their room, suite, or apartment, a remaining resident may choose a new roommate rather than having one assigned via Housing Selection or by the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

If you are being pulled into a space, confirm with those residents that they have submitted the pull-in request.

Off-Campus Lottery

As a part of the Spring 2025 Housing Process, students who have earned at least four housing credits may choose to enter the Off-Campus Lottery. This indicates a desire to live off-campus prior to fulfilling the residency requirement. As the Office of Residence Life and Housing finalizes the number of students able to live on campus for the spring semester, they will use random selection to release the appropriate number of students.

Updates about Housing Requests and Releases, (including results for the Off-Campus Lottery) will be communicated by Nov. 22. 

Most students returning from abroad should expect to live on campus for Spring 2025. Students with less than six semesters of housing credits should not plan to make any plans to live off-campus unless they have been released from the residency requirement, in writing, from the Office of Residence Life and Housing. 

Spring Only Housing Selection

Students abroad for the Fall 2024 semester will participate in our Spring Only Housing Selection process. Please read below for an overview of the process.

• The Spring Only Housing Application will open on October 7. Students may begin forming roommate groups and if interested, enter the Off-Campus Lottery (see above for more details). 
• Note: Please plan on small roommate groups (max of 4 students) to align with available housing options. Students can also be “pulled” into vacancies on campus. (See above for more details) 
• Students participating in Spring Only Housing Selection will select their room and meal plan for the spring semester on December 11, 2024 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. EST via the Housing Portal. 
• Please note that options will be limited; you are not guaranteed the option to select a roommate group or roommate of choice. It is possible that you will need to fill an empty bed in a double room with an existing roommate. 
• We anticipate Polo Hall being available for selection for Spring 2025.
• You will receive an email via your WFU email address with specific instructions to select your Spring housing and meal plan. This email will also include your selection time. All selection times will be in Eastern time, so please plan accordingly.

Disability- Related Accommodations

Students needing disability-related accommodations should visit the Housing Portal at go.wfu.edu/housingportal to begin the request process. For the Spring term, all students should provide a completed request and all supporting documentation for review by November 15th.
