THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

August 6–10, 2025

This summer’s been unexpectedly cool—and Houston’s art scene is bringing the heat. From vinyl grooves and bayou walks to open studios and artist talks, there’s something happening every day.

Thursday is packed, but don't miss internationally acclaimed DJ, sound artist and abstract turntablist Maria Chavez with Ryan Hollaway at Echoes HTX, presented in collaboration with Ice House Radio.

Scroll down for this week's picks, and explore even more on my website!
