New Friday Bible Study is underway! Join us on Fridays at 10:47 am!
With Dcn. Jeannie's departure for St. Timothy's, Athens last month, the
11 AM Wednesday Bible Study, which Jeannie ran, has "departed," as well. But to ensure that folks who might like an alternative, later morning start time to get together and study the Bible, Fr. Donavan is now offering a NEW Bible Study on FRIDAYS in the Conference Room.
This Bible Study, which is studying the Letter of James, is a 1 hour study each Friday and beginning at 10:47 AM! If you are interested in joining a Bible Study at the church and are available on Friday mornings, you are invited!
Fr. Donavan hopes to see you at 10:47 AM in the Conference Room with your Bible open and ready to read and study TOMORROW!

| | Lenten Invitation to Reconciliation | | |
An Exhortation, Page 316, in The Book of Common Prayer
Every week, we confess our sins together to prepare our hearts to receive Holy Communion. This upcoming Sunday, Deacon Dave will read a longer invitation to Confession that invites us to reflect on the meaning of this practice we do every week, called the Exhortation. This season in our adult formation, we’ve reflected on what it means that the Baptismal Covenant asks us to resist evil, repent of sin, and return to the Lord. The Exhortation also invites us to consider other practices of repentance that our Prayer Book provides for, such as the sacrament of Reconciliation (individual confession of sin with a priest). If you would like to avail yourself of the opportunity to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation, please email Mtr. Katie Kirk-Costas by clicking HERE.

Sin Snippets: Finding Lent in Pop Culture:
Wednesdays in Lent beginning at 6:15 PM
What do bluegrass songs, scary movies, Saturday Night Live sketches, Bob Dylan, and the Blues have to teach us about Lent and how to live into our baptismal covenant? Join Mtr. Katie and Fr. Donavan for lots of Lenten laughs, smiles, cheers, and maybe a tear or two on Wednesday nights this Lent! We will be looking at how popular music, movies, and comedy can help us live out our promise to "persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever [we] fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord."
Evening Prayer (see info above) will kick things off in the nave at 5:30 PM and a Lenten supper of soup and salad will begin being served at 5:45 PM in the Parish Hall. The program will start at 6:15 PM.
And children and youth are invited to join Ms. Laura Beth and our Youth Minister, Ethan, for this year's Children and Youth Lenten program on Wednesday evenings, as well. We will meet in the Parlor at 6:15 p.m. to explore the Lenten practices of contemplation, devotion, and prayer through activities involving pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) and the Anglican rosary.
Don't miss this year's exciting Lenten Soup and Salad Series, "Sin Snippets: Finding Lent in Pop Culture," Wednesdays in the Parish Hall.
| | Holy Week Seder Service & Supper | | |
Seder Supper
Tuesday, March 31 at 6 PM: Make your Reservations NOW! Deadline is March 26
Seder is a serious and joyful event where the Passover story is retold. Looking to our Jewish roots, we tell the Exodus story, with its themes of power and mercy, bondage and freedom, hope and despair. This is much like the spiritual journey that we continue in our lives today. Observing the Seder reminds us, as modern-day Christians, of the story of God and His people of which we are a part. Seder is a service interspersed with a dinner (lamb, chicken, or vegetarian), which concludes as the meal ends. We follow the traditional Jewish Seder, remembering that at the Last Supper, Jesus celebrated Seder with his disciples.
Our Seder is on Tuesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The meal will be provided for a suggested donation of $12 per adult and $5 per child. Since we need to order meat, reservations should be made by Thursday, March 26 either online through the LINK HERE or by signing up in Information Hall.
We also need volunteers to help set up the Parish Hall, cook the meal, plate the food that is set on the table for the service, serve the meal, and clean up. Volunteer sign-up sheets are on the Information Hall Bulletin Board. Contact Mike or Laura Beth Bestor via their email if you have any questions.
